Are you coming to Brazil to work or play for an extended period of time? If so, you will benefit from knowing some Portuguese. In addition to helping you get around the city, knowledge of the language will be beneficial to you in your daily life in Brazil. If your spouse and children are coming with you, their stay can also be improved by knowing the local language. Who am I and How Can I Help? I am a professional instructor for Portuguese. I also speak English and Italian. I am available to provide instruction to you and your family at a time and place convenient to you. I can provide instruction at either your place of work or your residence. Our classes can be tailored to your goals, schedule and desired learning pace. If it is crucial that you learn Portuguese in a very short amount of time, I can also provide intensive studies and immersion in the language and culture. I am also available to provide special language services to businessmen and expats. Some examples include assisting you in business negotiations for local services such as apartments and transportation. I am also available to accompany your spouse and/or family throughout the city to familiarize them with the environment or to assist in shopping excursions. More About Me... I am a graduate of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I have been teaching foreigners Portuguese for several years. My students have worked for companies such as Bell Canada, Nortel Networks, Nokia, Shell and IBM. I have completed a post graduate study in the teaching of Portuguese for Foreigners at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). I have also studied at Brown University in Providence, RI, USA. A basic knowledge of German, and comparative studies between Portuguese and Spanish, allow me to develop the student’s ability to understand and use both spoken and written Portuguese. Let's Talk!
